UNSOLVED EXERCISE/ 2024
Performance
A world bathed in red ignites on stage. Three creatures, inspired by the character of Geryon from Anne Carson’s “Autobiography of Red”, dwell within it and encounter the heat of the world. A revolving hunting flashlight exists as its innermost core; its engine is fueled by the desire of the creatures to reach it. As they navigate this landscape they pass through time warps and event horizons, returning and re-living, caught in a heatwave of memory and scorched yearning. Like moths drawn to a flame, the performers undergo a journey investigating the intricacies of human behavior and the driving force that desire plays in it.
